bagi, I fully agree with your description of the work that follows the tour if you want to publish a quality post. It takes a huge amount of time, which you compensate only with joy in your work. I always think that with the post I'm doing good work for the history of posts. Very often, when I set out on a new tour, or if it was done long ago or from a completely different side, I take time to review all the relevant past posts. From the history of posts on these pages we learn a lot, not just from current conditions on the current trail!

For a contribution with text and photos, I don't know what else one would need besides a phone. The photos get degraded by posting on this forum anyway, so the quality isn't that important.

Why wouldn't they continue? We're just commenting on the posting process.  I also read them with pleasure, as well as from others who strive to keep this forum alive. Otherwise everything will move to FB.
